engine blown

hey ive seen alot of msps start to mess up at or around the miles im at now....:(
ive only got basic bolt ons like intake, exhaust, upgraded side mount, motor mounts clutch, and diff. i drive the car very easy just cuz i know if i were to get on it like a lil kid who just got an evo:) around every corner it would be breakin all the time,....but the inevitability of it breaking make me wonder.
at stock boost levels when did ur motor go out, or start to mess up??
or if ur boost was played with whe did it break...
cuz im kinda wanting to build up a mtor while i have the money kinda, and have it compete or almost done when this happens, my motors fine right now but i still have a few years on the loan and i really like the car and wana keep it for a while especially if i have a motor built up and put in..

There are a lot of threads out there that will answer your questions. They break because the rods are weak in these motors. Some people are just driving along and have a rod go through their block, others up the boost and push their luck to the limit and have the same thing happen.
