Hatch strut for '03 P5

A hatch strut (or whatever you call the arm that keeps the hatch open) on my fiance's 2003 Protege 5 broke. I'm trying to find a replacement. Any suggestions for an online source to get one? Thanks.

Most struts are pretty standard in size and you should be able to source the correct length at an Auto Zone or NAPA. I have had to pick up odd ones before and always found them to have a pretty good selection.

have you tried asking for a hatch strut from your dealership? parts from your dealership may be a little more expensive but you are assured of compatibility.

Well if thats not the understatement of the century...
