DG Lip vs. HD Lip [Archive]

Well i've had both of these lips now and i don't really know the point of this thread.. i guess i just wanted to show a "side by side" comparison of the two lips.
Let me know which one you like better.. my DG Lip is still salvageable.

you know what, i like the hd lip better. maybe its because it flows with the bumper where the dg lip is just the same size all around.

i like the dg lip better, but i'm glad i have the hd lip. it's cheaper and one time, i hit one of those shreded truck tires on the road, and believe it or not , the hd lip saved my bumper for being shattered :)... hd lip is a life saver, if i had the dg lip on, both the lip and bumper might be trashed by now !!!!

DG, but hd lip is so damn cheap even if you dont like it your out 10 bucks, in the end its about what you like!

hows the driving with the DG Lip? I am thinking of doing just the HD Lip cause I have the H&R springs and its dumped, it scrapes sometimes, I couldn't imagine with the dg lip too.

I want to do the HD for sure... I like it a lot better then the DG, and for the price... Both HDs in the pics look great, I really like the one that sticks out the most but the other is conformed so well to the bumper... Great job guys!

I have a HD lip and like it a lot buuuuut...I def like the DG much better! I've seen both in person and the DG looks much more aggressive.

your hd lip looks really short...

The DG one is too long for my liking.

It was my first time putting an HD lip on.. i think i may have placed it a little too far back in the bumper and thats why it looks so short.. if i dont end up putting the DG lip back on then i'll probably do the HD lip again but a little differently

what kind of tape have you guys been using to put the HD lip on?

i used 3m double sided and used hair dryer afterwards to make it stick well. Also, I bent paper clips to the shape of the lip and taped them to the underside so the lip wont bend down and pull down the tape.

ya i just found some good black mounting tape at pepboys seems to be working well so far it took going about 70 on the highway for about 30min soo will see lol

zombie bump, but any dg lip owners agree? I really like this lip, but if that's the way the design is, I'd start looking somewhere else for a front lip solution.

...yep, and apparently it paid off. based off every image I've seen, i agree, it doesn't seem parallel to the ground, but rather angled up, as you mentioned (run-on sentence much)

It is slightly angled up, but it doesn't bother me.
