View Full Version : Gave the HD Lip a shot

A little while back my DG Lip got ripped off in an accident.. so i wanted to try something a little cheaper this time.
I got bored today cuz it was rainy, so i decided to give the HD lip a shot.
Let me know what you think.. its my first time doing this so it might be a little sloppy.

looks good man, where did u get the garage seal stuff? is it the hard rubber or soft..the home depots by my house dont have the hard ones, only the soft crap

Funny, i just did the same thing today because the weather is crappy and I couldnt get everything I need to do the towplate! Did you mount yours so the little tab is on the outside? I cant tell from your pictures.

All the sell is the soft now, its not a hard rubber but it is sturdy and holds shape well from what i can tell. Cost 9.73 or something like that plus the double sided tape.

But for under 20 bucks and 15 minutes, its fantastic looking! LOL .. And you don't have to be afraid something terrible is going to happen to it!

No spacers or anything.. just swapped um out with the stockers..

I got it at home depot, i think 240ka posted a pic of it on another thread. It says right one the package GARAGE DOOR BOTTOM SEAL Nail-On Rubber. I looked online and they say hard rubber but i imagine its the same stuff. Not sure. Once I get my towplate made this week I'm going to take a couple pictures of my lip.

Heres a link to what I found, only mine doesnt say Hard Rubber. Just says Nail-On Rubber. Ill try and take a pic later of mine and post it for you.

i just did this... but i did it completely different ill get pics up and show you how i did it. looks alot better the way mines done but i noticed you have the dg lip now.

I think your car has changed my mind about what wheels I might get for mine. After seeing it, the black on blue look is actually pretty nice.
