I know someone here has to know something about working on these motors. I changed the cams to Integrals and changed the timing belt, installed SR camgears. I lined everything up according to the manual and zeroed in the camgears. It fired her up without the drive belts on and the valve cover loose and she ran, then I cut her off cause the belts weren't on (I was just seeing if she would fire before I tightened everything down). I then installed the drive belts and tightened down the valve cover and rechecked the torque on the crank pulley. When I tried to restart it wouldnt stay running, just turned over trying to fire but wouldn't and the timing marks on the cam gears were still at zero. Why would she run and then not fire up from just tightening down some things? So if you know about these camgears is it possible when the valve cover was sitting higher ( not tightened) that the cam position sensor read better with these gears, I have heard the sensor has problems with these gears, and when I tightened the cover down the sensor wasn't picking up the signal good?

Try loosening your valve cover and see if that fixes it.
