I am having a problem with my 2001 Protege ES (2.0L, Manual Transmission) climate control. While using the A/C, the selector switch that controls the blower (fan speed) will turn the A/C on and off. Air is still being blow into the cab just not cold air. The odd thing is it only does this when I turn the switch up past 1, setting 2 does not work at all and settings 3 and 4 are begining to turn the A/C on and off more frequently.

I recently had to replace the High-Line and the Compressor could this be the cause of the problem? Setting 2 on the switch never worked even with the old Compressor but 3 and 4 never had an issue before. Is my switch shorting out the connection? Should I replace the switch and if so where do I get one?

Thanks for any help,
Tippett

Thanks for the link, fixed it in little less then 10 minutes!

I will be sure to use the advance search next time as I wasn't able to locate that thread last time I ran a search.

Thanks again!

Not a problem. Even with advanced search, it can be very difficult to find the simplest threads sometimes. If you have any more problems or questions, send me a PM and I'll help you out. If I don't know something, I'll most likely know someone on the forum that can help you out
