I dont no much about audio at all, but is there any so called easy way to add say a 10"-12" sub to the stock Bose system or would i need a whole other amp and all that good stuff

Look into powered subs such as Bazooka Tubes if you want "easy." I think BT makes a 10" 250 watt unit.

I also have the bose system and am planning on adding a sub, what would u guys recommend for the sub and the amplifier for it? Kicker? JBL? and what should the whole thing cost approximately (to buy+install it).. i know just a little bit about audio and i dont want to get ripped off.. any help is appreciated fellas..
