Please Help!!! Alarm sounder going off in rear quarter panel

Following a recent flat battery there is a high pitched squeal which seems to be coming from the rear quarter panel. A friend seems to think it is related to the alarm. Does anyone know if this can be reset or whether this is a genuine fault?
Also the main electric window console will not operate the rear windows, can this be reset. The individual switches on the rear door still work.

there IS an interior siren on the UK spec version of the 3... it is located behind the left (kerb side) interior panel in the boot area... the only way to reset this is to use your key to cycle the outside door lock from lock to unlock a few times or maybe through the ignition switch... I am not sure exactly how it will work since the thatcham 3 type system in the UK is different than the US spec one.... you may have better luck using the keyless entry remotes though.... BEST to consult the owner's manual
