Hey guys. Recently, I had an accident with my Protege (:(), and while there seemed to be very little damage other than an out of place bumper and grille, I noticed that after the collision, my right-side (passenger) for light wasn't working. Later, after I restarted the car, I noticed that neither of the fogs worked. I'm not sure about this part, but I now notice that my fog light switch (beside the dash dimmer) is not lit up. Is it just coincidence that both lights have burnt out in a relatively short time from each other, or am I facing another problem? Quickly feeling the cord on the inside of the bumper, it felt like both lights were attached, and I have no idea why the cord would be giving any issue, as it was a very low-speed collision with no damage done to the fiberglass itself.

Any insight would be appreciated.

The first thing I would do is check voltage at the lights to see if the switch is working (assuming the wires are okay). If you have voltage, either the bulbs are bad or the switch is bad. The shock from the accident may very well have damaged the incandescent bulb filiments.

yes, definitely check the voltage, a tester at any local hardware store shouldn't be that much, if it's that, check all the wiring... also the light bulbs could just have gotten loose from the collision too as well as the filament breaking; check em all out.
