Hi Folks I was wondering if you could help me I own a 2002 2.0l sport premacy . It has gone back to the garage to have a smoking engine problem sorted under warrenty . They have replaced the head gasket and the valve stem oil seals but when cold it still smokes heavy white smoke .
Any ideas ?
Cheers Scott

I'm not an autotech.. but I do have some automotive books.. lolz.
In my old car, white smoke is water getting into the combustion chamber.
Observe your coolant level, after some time. Usually caused by busted head gasket which maybe why they replaced it.
Or mechanic can pressurize each cyclinders and observe if air bubbles come out of the radiator.. then you have a leak still.
Another thing maybe the oxygen sensor have been fouled because of contamination from previous 'smoking' problem.

The garage has re-checked the head gasket with a pressure test and all is good . So I will suggest to them about the oxygen sensor . Any other idea's anyone ?
