LoL.. dont use a screw, that will cause rust. Why not put the emblem back on or use whatever the guys use to cover the holes from removing their ricer wings on their trunks. I think its a tape.

Go to home depot or something and buy those little plastic plugs. Then spray them to match the car. That's what a bunch of people use when they take off the license plate.

Are the people removing the emblems ashamed to let people know it's a Mazda. I guess holes are better.

threadjack alert!

speaking of holes, i saw a poor sunlight silver mz3 sedan that had some good'ole diamond grills in the front fenders. gotta love ricers, if it wasn't for them everyone's car would look good. and when everyone's car looks good, no one's does

i guess it would kinda be like going to the club without and ugly friend to help better your chances of getting laid

I'm sure it looks like a thumb tack. Smooth head and ridges that secure it from the inside.

I would check in the hardware dept where all the drawers with the screws, bolts, and nuts are. They usually have them. Measure the diameter of the hole before you go and then find a plastic plug to match it. If you can't find it there, just tell them what you're looking for. It's literally just a plug that goes in the hole. Don't know how else to explain it.

you should use a hot glue gun to plug the holes, and then take some touchup paint and a toothpick to dab the color on. that way the glue shouldn't stick to the paint on the car so you can pull it out eventually without harm

I'm sure you could. You would just need to make sure that it's strong.

i would go to a home depot or lowes and ask for some help from one of the workers. im sure they'd be willing to take a couple large bolts from the hardware section out to your car and try screwing them in to see which one fits.

then from there you get get some sort of piping, drill a hole in it on one side for the bolt, drill 2 holes for the plate, and you get the idea

in fact, search in the "how to" section i think someone already made a homemade one

actually i just realized something...the bolt should already be in your car from when it was shipped over here. there is a hook that came with it that was used to keep the car from moving during shipment, it's an eye-hook

i think it's with the spare somewhere, if it's still in your car. just take that into a home depot and they'll measure it for you

Go to home depot and get some white caps then paint them the color of your car. The size is 1/4". I did this and it looks great.

go to lowes into the nuts and bolts section. they have a few drawers dedicated to automotive fasteners. these are the ones i used http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?action=productDetail&productId=138361-37672-881217&lpage=none. if you plan on test fitting them buy extra because they will get destroyed pulling them out. heres some pics on my cwp http://s9.photobucket.com/albums/a81/tjader312/mazdasp33d/?albumview=slideshow

The plugs from home depot when put in pops out a little right? like a nipples? Could you like get 1/4 round wood stick and paint it to color match and then put it in so it doesn't stick out at all??

I went to home depot and found plastic plugs that where .250 which is 1/4 right? but I think they are to big? did I get the wrong kind????

tjader

im pretty sure home depot has them as well. i doubt the wood stick idea would work since the hole is just a hole and there wouldn't be anything to hold the stick in place. all they are are plastic plugs or body fasteners if i remember right? i think they were listed as nissan if i'm not mistaken lol
