So my CEL came on because my brake lights were not working. Turns out it's a taillight fuse blown....ok. So i replace it...pop....and another...pop....and so on.
SO I pull the code and (I can't remember what code now but I'll post later) it basically says:
Check the brake switch (it was like $15 so I replaced it....not that now)
check the wiring in the car (how do I do this and where to start really?)
or if all else fails replace the computer
Anyone else ever had brake problems like this?
There are 4 wires going into the brake switch. And the fuse only blows when i plug in the bottom (green and green/yellow I think) pair of wires. I unpluged the taillights to see if I had a short there...nope.
How can i fix this? The inspection is now expired (July) and I need this car since my miata doesn't have working A/C :)
