Hi there Ken,

First off, I have a 2002 Protege 5 w/ manual trans.

I have a check engine light code that's sporadic (p1569, VTCS Solenoid Hi/Low Voltage / Short circuit). So I was wondering if you can get Mazda parts. Stopped by my local dealer and got a parts printout, Part no. 18-741C looks to be correct. If you think that's all I need to solve this problem, great! How much would you charge for the part.

Also, my front engine mount (the one near the radiator) is torn and I would like to order one of yours with your recommendation. I use my car as a daily driver and don't race or autocross it, so comfort is more important than performance. I just want to get rid of all the "lurching" the car does when getting on / off the gas, or just taking off from a stop. Looking for a price on which mount you would recommend.

Thanks for your help on these matters!

i would go with an AWR 70duro front motor mount to be honest. you'll get good performance from it without the harsh vibrations. i'll need the actual part number to look up the solenoid, that 5 digit code is just a reference for the catalog itself, sorry.

I don't know the actual part number... looked all morning, but here is a pic of it

http://www.trademotion.com/schematics/5/5416820.gif

It's number 5.

Here's a link to Montgomery Mazda

Let me know if this helps.

Shoot me a price for each and the total shipped to 53154. Thanks a lot!
