well i just came back from the dealership and was looking at the 2010 mazda 3 i touring, 4 door. and with the clunker program i think i got a good offer. the guy said he can give it to me for 12,800 and some change. and that is including my car. which i can get 4500 for. so basically he is giving me the 2010 i touring for 17,300. is that pretty cheap? while the msrp was 18,xxx they added like 2000 dollars for some random crap so they were selling it for 20,000.

so is that pretty cheap and i was wondering how do u like it? i was test driving it and it seemed a little small and the interior felt plastic, including the control buttons. but i just wanted ur guys opinion on the car.

I really like my 2010 3s GT 5-door, but it's a lot different than what you're looking at. I'm not sure what control buttons you're talking about, but I haven't noticed anything like that. The dash is a soft material and everything feels pretty substantial to me. I'm coming from a 1999 Toyota Solara SLE, which had a pretty decent interior. I can understand you thinking the 2010's interior is cheap if you're coming from a BMW, but we're talking about a $20,000 car here. I kind of see what you're talking about in regards to the 4-door feeling small inside though. I sat in the backseat of one and didn't care for it. The 5-door is much better.

We bought a 4 door and 5 door a week ago. Love both cars. You should try a hatch with 6 speed manual. Was looking at a turbo but wife said no. Hatch with manual is plenty of fun.

well i do want a hatch...but it wont get 4500 from the clunkers program and only 3500... and my dad will say no since hes buying it, and i dont know how to drive manual. i tried but i failed really bad lol...=-( and i think hes gonnna be iffy on the price also, even tho were only paying 12,800 for it plus taxes which i guess would be around 14000 total.

also how much did u pay for ur 4 door and 5 door?

You're getting a pretty average deal, not bad, not great. Someone in that thread posted a link to www.truecar.com which can give you an idea of what other people are paying.

I just Love my new 2010 mazda 3 hatchback. S Sport with bose/moonroof package. Its sooo much fun to drive and this being my first car ever, I am simply loving it. everything rocks abt it. :) everytime i start the car I have the same smile on my face as my car. :)
