Ok, so i took my car in to the shop to get an oil change and something happened. i started driving it to the place and there was a weired clunking noise, kind of like some thing was rubing. at first i thought it was the newly installed suspension. but i started to notice that every time i pushed in the clutch or used the compression of the engine to slow it down on hills and such it would make the noise. also it would stop every time i would brake or when i accelerated. i looked under the car and nothing was hanging down. when i got to the shop i asked them to take a look at it. they did and said they couldn't see anything. im scared shit less that its really bad. it just started doing this today. i think its something to do with the clutch, fly wheel, ect. but idk. as it sits im not driving my car until i figure it out or diagnose the problem so i can get it fixed. Any help is greatly appreciated

The suspension will pop, but from what I remember, it was only when you are turning. I don't remember that happening when I would stop or go. Check your endlinks and sways, something might be loose?

that is the way tomaro should be spelled!!! I like it seriously.

How are your motor mounts? i had bad mounts once and it caused my intake to knock against the back of my headlight. just trying to rule out the easy stuff first.

thats exactly what I was going to say. I put my on with my impact, and because I was using level "2" and a tiny air hose I didn't get nearly the torque I thought I had... due to rust on the rotors and the tight fit, they didn't end up getting torqued, so the wheel moved in on the hub and suddenly the lugs were lose... took like 2 days for it to start showing up, and it scared the crap outa me.

I remember when I had a clunking noise....it only happened when I'd let off the gas, then one day it got loud as fuck and jerked the steering wheel horribly. Turned out to be loose lugs, they got REALLY loose though. So lucky the wheel didn't come off. Had to buy new spindles and hub.

all but like 1 on mine were basically off. i kid you not. i was surprised i even go the car into the garage. it was really gay. and totally my fault. i have no impact wrench at all. my version is me standing on the wrench what came with it. it kinda works. but me being stupid didn't even use the wrench. i used my hands (smash)

Uh, me three. I was trouble shooting thinking 'uh oh - the CV joint or bearing is bad'.

Nope - really loose lugs. I was never so glad to be just stooopid.

It happens.
