I'm going to install a reworked K04, an inlet pipe, and a boost controller tomorrow with a friend. I have a Turbosmart in-cabin boost controller and was wondering how many clicks I can set to have my turbo at around 18-20 PSI. I did order a boost guage but have yet to receive one and need a way to test if I installed the device properly.

Don't guess. Wait for the boost gauge. And go above 18 and you may be joining the list of popped engines.

The reworked K04 is a nice upgrade. It does not, IMHO allow you to safely run higher boost. It should spool up quicker and should make a bit more power at the same boost levels. Maybe I'm wrong, but I'd not want to be running 19 or 20 psi.
