Welcome to the forum. There probably isn't a quick fix unless you aren't doing something right. You question doesn't provide enough information for anyone to suggest a fix. It may help if you answer the following questions.

Year of car? How did you determine the refrigerant level is full? Is the compressor clutch engaging, you should be able to hear it if you have someone turn the air on and off while listening for the click inside the engine compartment? Is the ac indicator light on?

the car is an 07 mazda 3 2.3l. i left it idling for about 40 mins. the clutch comes on but the ac only blows hot air. i checked the low pressure side with a gauge and its good..

40 minutes of idle speed should not cause the ac to go bad. I'm not sure checking the low pressure side will tell if the refrigerant level is adequate, I think the high pressure side should also be checked. The shop manual has a troubleshooting section that may help determine what is wrong. There is an on line Mazda 3 shop manual PDF, the ac section has a check procedure.

If that doesn't help it may be best to have it looked at by an ac shop.

no it might not do anything to the AC but what the hell was he doing having it idle for 40 minutes?

Maybe he was in a traffic jam. I have been in several traffic backups over the years that moved maybe a mile in an hour. Usually on hot days with ac on an engine at or just off idle.

the only way to accurately check the amount of 134a in the system is to fully drain/recover the system. are there no idling by laws in your area i can get a ticket here for anything over 5 min of idling
