Camber adjustment

My rear camber is out of alignment and wearing the rear tires (more than usual). My mechanic tells me there is no way to adjust the camber without installing camber adjustment arms. He wants a boatload to do it, but I can order more cheaply & I *think* I can install myself. However, wanted to get input from you as I don't know much about this sort of thing. Is the mechanic correct?? So I really need to get these parts installed in order to adjust the camber??

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks, AwaKen. I actually had read that thread previously, but I haven't lowered my car & it seemed they were discussing the need to install the camber adjustment arms because their cars were lowered. If mine isn't lowered & camber is out-of-spec should I still need the adjustment arms?

Hey, I just read thru the entire The Tire Wear Problem Thread and saw that Mazda fixed a 2006 Touring (just like mine) with control arms from a MS3. The more I read the more I realize how simple the fix is.
I'm not looking for perfectly vertical wheels, it's just that rotating tires every 3k miles on "van with racing camber" was not what my owner manual says I purchased.

Even tho our camber is negative, that's not what causing the premature tire wear. Next time you are going to do the alignment, just ask you toe to be adjusted. That should fix the problem. I know mine did.
