so ive read that some people cut holes in the stock airbox to hold them off intill they get an intake, my question is would doin this see any gains and would you be able to hear the stock BPV better or is it just a waist of time and a perfectly good air box?

There's no point in doing this mod whatsoever, just be patient, save up and buy one!

Just wait around for a used one to come around I got a really good deal on an injen one for 120 shipped.

yeah just watch the market place, something will come around. dont hack up your stock box, you may need it someday.

If for no other reason than keeping the stock parts in tact for those dealer visits, I'd leave the stock box alone & just be patient.

Take out you stock air box and keep it for dealer visits. Go out and make you own cai for $50.
