Ok so I finally got a buddy of mines to install my SSafc along with the perrin fuel rail, walbro 255 fuel pump, and 565cc injectors now after 4k rpms its starts bogging and almost feels like its cutting off, no my question is, isnt that the purpose of the ems to stop the bogging and hesitation or am i missing something here? all input will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Do you have a wideband?

If not you're wasting your time.

If you do what are your AFs?

The whole point of the SSAFC is so that you can street tune it yourself, and you need a wideband to do that.

Also, how much boost?

thanks man, well i do have a wideband but not installed yest since im waiting for my 3" dp and im not even running 5psi but my vacume sits at -11 so I think thats a boost leak wich is why the boost gauge wont go past 5. but even though should it still be hitting fuel cut at 4k? could it be that this ems is malfunctioning

Did you do any tunning on the AFC?

Did you do any tunning on the AFC?

and you are running +/- 5psi with 565 cc's and the walbro? there's the problem, too much fuel. You did all that great fuel delivery work without adding more air so now you are "flooding" the motor so to speak. I suggest finding that boost leak and installing the AFR gauge to see yourself running rich at the moment, no matter what map someone loads, the cars are different and act different, custom tunning is needed, do it yourself or take it to someone who know the SS-AFC but get that AFR gauge installed so you can monitor what's going on!

He loaded that map as a base map to start the tune, not to use all the time because obviously it does not match your application.

ok thanks man, would u suggest not driving the car at all until it gets tuned or would not effect it under normal driving?

so theres not a possibility that the ems would be malfunctioning? srry but i was kinda peranoid since i did buy it 2nd hand of another member here, so I just want to make sure, my buddy says that if the ems would be messed up the car would not even turn on , is that correct?

If you don't have to, not driving it would be a good idea.

If you don't have to, then don't drive it, if you have to, you are gonna have to crawl it which is no fun anyway.

EMS is not the issue, MSProtegy is a wizz at this stuff, I'm positive that it is funtioning, you need to get that VAC leak fixed and tune the AFC, also remember, it is not a stand-alone EMS, it is a piggy-back EMS, so ONLY the air and fuel are controlled, all else is controlled by the cars ECU

It all depends on your tune. I can put the Supermap on mine and it will fuel cut like hell, but if I switch out the map to one that I made, it pulls hard and strong with no hesitation at all. It's all in your map.

Yeah it's flooding out really bad just like metallics was. It's not fuel cut it's fuel bog. You have way to much pump and injector to not be making any boost. You need to check out the srt-4 forums search for boost leak detector it will tell you how to make one. Then get that wb installed and take a shit ton of fuel out.
