well all of a sudden i cant build anymore than like 1-2 psi of boost.... well i thought that maybe it was a leak in the coldpipe or something..so i just redid my whole cold pipe section so it comes through the firewall next to the radiator straight to the TB....while that will be a good improvement, i still have no boost... so i got my little cig lighter air compressor and used the small fitting and plugged it into the bov line.....it instantly pumps to like 20 psi flowing, but wont go any higher...so i kink the line and it shoots up...id assume this means my bov crapped out?

At first I was going to say it sounds weird that your little cig lighter air compressor can build 20psi in the vac line, but somehow it's leaking enough that your turbo can only build 1-2 psi.... but then I had a facepalm moment and realize that if the valve is leaking somewhere at the vac source, the valve is probably not closing under boost... so yeah, that probably is your problem.
You should remove the valve and repeat the test... see if the valve seems to be operating properly when you apply pressure.

that compressor can build like 80 lol...but ya ill remove it and look

Well, right, but if it was just the vac leak, it would have to be giant enough that your turbo could not build boost, yet here's your little 12v compressor flowing enough through the same leak to build 20psi. Which is why it sounds to me like the valve isn't closing completely under boost.

turns out that one of the couplings slid off like half way at a 45 degree angle...even with that gaping hole my big ass turbo could still pump 2 psi in lol...but ya i can go super fast again! lol

So you rerouted your entire coldpipe, but missed a coupler that was completely off? lol... well, glad you found the problem!

i didnt feel like jacking the car up and looking at the hot pipe lol...i was gonna do the coldpipe anyway, and it gave me a excuse....

Lovin it. It made a world of difference at the top-end, and once I installed a fan on the radiator, it's proved to be pretty resistant to heatsoak in stop-n-go traffic. I still haven't gotten around to doing any temp-logging like I intended, though..... (doh)
