Light throttle push

I can't seem to adjust to how light the gas pedal is. Way too soft for me. It gets old trying not to push on it. I feel like I'm having to hover over it. Has anyone tried to stiffen it up any? I have to really look at it but I was thinking a heavier return spring or...?
