Yes, this bar will fit:
Mazda 3: 2004-2010
MS3
Mazda 5

Note on the pricing:
We already ran a group buy, and yes this batch is close to the retail price. However, we are offering free shipping to the lower 48 Cont. States in the U.S. As we stated in the original group buy, the $165 plus $15 shipping was an introductory price.

In a nut shell, this is still a good price for an awesome bar! :)

with the way guys have raved about this bar and tripoint in general, I'm amazed. 200 bucks for a killer sway sounds like a steal to me. wish the protege market wasn't for all intensive purposes dying from its nearly dead stats to begin with lol

Jeff - How long is this group buy price offered for? Any chance I can get the rear swaybar in Red instead of Blue?

Question Jeff:

I have a stock 2007 Mazda 3 I-Touring Sedan. If I get your rear sway bar, what do you recommend for a front sway bar replacement? Or do you recommend keeping the front stock? I am just beginning to do track days and autoX.

Question Previous Purchasers:

Any reviews on the bar's performance? What did you do for your front bar, if anything? How is your car's performance now at track/autoX vs. before? Pros or cons?

Thanks everyone!

What Endlinks should be used with this swaybar?
Would the stock ones on my '07 Mazda GT sedan be sufficient?

-Thuwa

nicole@Tri-Point

Yes, the bar is designed for the stock endlinks to work.

Can I have yours or anyybody elses driving impressions with this bar on a MS3?

I autoX quite regularly and would love to compensate for the heavy understeer this car has, but am concerned that weight is the culprit, not so much the suspension.

Tri-Point, awesome looking bar and great price!

weight of the car or the suspension?

I know on our turbo'd Mazda 3, the car before the upgraded bar would wheel spin like crazy. With the new bar, it was reduced a lot.

I got one of the first ones and it's been great, except for the main brackets bending. They installed it and have been great about replacing them, 2 so far and my 3rd set is bent.

Great bar, nice guys, but they've suddenly decided to ignore me. They did kindly offer to install yet another set of the same brackets for free, which was great, but I said thanks but no, I'd rather wait for the improved bracket since I'll just bend them again.

No word from them yet, either public or via email. On another forum, 2 other users have now reported the same problem and there's been no response at all.

It would be nice to know what the status is. Meanwhile, my rear bar is still clunking around, and it's the middle of September without a peep from them. I know they're busy with their racing etc., but it would be really great if they updated us on what the bracket situation status is.

The bottom line is that the main brackets (not the end link mounts) are weak and they know it. I know they're outsourced, and I know the outsourced brackets fail, but there's no word from Tri-Point about a solution at this point.

So my advice, as good as the sway bar is, is to cancel your order until they respond to this issue, and tell us all about the new and improved brackets the new batch will ship with.

Come on Jeff (and Reggie), you know there's a problem. I had the first failure, but more have been reported since. Tell us what's going on, please!

Ignore you? You have our phone number, you can just call or even stop by if you were certain we were ignoring you. Unfortunately, I'm not subscribed to get e-mails for any of the forums. The best way is to call Reggie if you want updates.

We are looking into other options for brackets but have not found one. Obivoulsy until now, we know 1 or 2 members (including you) that have the brackets being bent. kwsmithphoto, if we are taking to long, we can always just take the bar off and refund you the money.

Cool, Jeff, thanks for responding.

For the record, I have PM'd you and emailed Reggie a couple of times, no reply. Next time, I'll try using an actual telephone, I think I still have one somewhere. :)

Glad to hear you're trying to source (or fab) better brackets, and I wish you the best of luck with that. And my offer to torture test a release candidate still stands. As Reggie can attest to, I excel at it.

If you don't have anything ready yet, I might drop by next week for another replacement, depending on my work schedule. I really don't want a refund, the bar is outstanding and I want to keep running it. And I also want to help you guys make it even better, so I'm willing to help with that anyway I can.

Reggie emailed me on Wednesday. I'm coming by in the middle of the day, Thursday, to try the prototype brackets! It should only take a week or two to shake them down. If anybody can torture test something, it's definitely me - come into the shop and check out my "aerodynamic modifications" from Fontana to see why! I'm bringing it in late morning.

Just FYI, but in spite of my best efforts, I haven't been able to bend the new brackets! Rock solid, no noises, no problems.

Nice work, and thanks for putting up with me!
