I bought a used Splitsecond FTC and am itching to install it.
My mods are in my sig and I put down 172whp and 176 tourqe.
my AFR's were pegged at 10, the lowest it would read and I know I am wasting power.
Would I be okay installing it on my own?
I have basic knowledge working on cars, it looks pretty straight forward.
Is there anything I can really screw up?
And would the stock map be ok for now?

im curious to know about this also for my turbo mp3. from what i hear, its the most straightforward type of piggyback out there and works the best. there are diagrams of installation at splitsec.com

The stock map would be fine "for now" but it will work best with a good tune on it. And follow the instructions and you will be 100% fine.

Ok thanks a lot! just wanted to know what i was getting myself into.
It does look very straight forward. only thing I read to lookout for is to follow the pin numbers, and not the coulor of the wires.

I'm using the SS AFC v2 with a MSP ECU in my MP3-T, the car pulls like a rabid mongoose. It's nuts..

That's weird, because I just bought a rabid mongoose from the pet store, and IT pulls like a SS-AFCed MP3. Hmm ;)
