Hi guys. I just bought a maszdaspeed3 and its really great. I found this forum through google and it looks really good. I hope to have some fun here with you guys as i get to know this car. I have lots of questions like how to i get that whoosh sound?

The pshhh sound is the bov. I've got a Turbosmart BOV and like it. Buy stuff used if you can. Welcome!

Getting an intake will give you that sound. If you want any louder than that, get an aftermarket bpv.

Turboturb0, welcome to the forums and congrats on a new car. To get the sound you are looking for, you need to go with an aftermarket BOV(blow off valve) or a BPV(bypass valve). BOV means the air will vent to atmosphere, but a BPV will recirculate that same air back into your intake. By going the BOV route you will definitely hear it, to where BPVs are generally quieter. Majority of people on this forum are bias towards BPVs, and every one on here will tell you to get a Forge BPV. However you have many options, so stick around and keep reading previously discussed threads, there's a lot to learn.
