Ok so, I took off my ap off my car. I got a code for overboosting, which made no sense to me. Once taken off no more problems. Right now, I have few mods and would like a dp, catted so I don't get a CEL. I wanted to get everyone's input on which dp is good. Don't really want something too loud but also not quiet, I was thinking of going with Cobb, but I wanted to see what others had to say. Also I've read that after dp alot of people get smoking turbos is this true? Thanks for anyone who helps!

mazda has issued a service bulletin saying they are doing a better pcv system for the car - this will be the fix to the turbo seals going bad issue -
if you decide to change your dp - it's really hit or miss if you see bad seals - some have ran for thousands of miles and never seen an issue while some have changed the pipes and see problems instantly - using one with a cat will probably decrease your chances of your seals going bad
cobb and cpe both make a very nice catted dp that uses a 3" spun cat
i just did turbo xs's dp and rp setup with a 3" magnaflow high flow spun cat welded into the rp and it is helping my bad turbo seals until i can get this pcv fix & a reworked turbo

I have the Cobb, its been awesome so far. When you take it out of the box its hard to justify putting it under your car where it will get all that dirt and grime on it. Its very good looking and well built.

I'm also thinking about a dp and was wondering which one. I'm kinda leaning toward the cobb though..

How do you like the Cobb so far, also doe you have stock exhaust and how much louder did it get with the dp?
