ok right now i just installed my new fmic and have it setup for stock bpv and i compressor surges pretty badly so i need to run it with a bov but im not sure how to set it up i tried to search the FAQ's but that search sucks... and i look through a buch of threads but i cant remember where i saw it once.... was looking for some help on this... heres a link to how mines set up right now... thnx

ok so question #2 is there a reason i have bad compressor surge with the set up i have now?

get a bov flange welded to the cold pipe, add the bov, tap it to the brake booster line (to the left of the check valve) and you're good to go.

Maybe relocate the MAF.. is that with the bov and bpv? Maybe because of the bov you are getting the compressor surge, maybe try to tighten it enough so that it's not leaking, but not overly tight to where you'll get the compressor surge. If it's with the bpv, maybe the pressure just has nowhere to release itself and goes backwards through the compressor side, causing the compressor surge. Just guessing.

well as of right now i only have the bpv on it and i dont understand why im gettin compressor surge

not really sure but maybe a leak in the pipeing somewhere a coupler or something

If you're only using the stock bpv thats why you have turkey. The diameter just isnt big enough to handle the air.

i ran an SSQV VTA and it still surged... recirc'd it, still surges. i gave up.

ok i guess that makes sence i increased the volume and the bvp cant take it

its kinda just what they do. lol. I've accepted it. the only further effort I plan to make to resolve it is to run my BOV directly off of the brake booster.

run the bov off the brake booster line. that should solve the issues.

Stock BPV on bigger setup = FAIL. Go big or go home :)
SAMOCO makes a sweet BPV that will fit your need. That's is the way I'm going to go.
