I made a Boost/Vac leak detector...(How to: soon to follow) in an attempt to track down a leak that is causing my rough idle near stalling idle. I found what sounds like a leak coming from the center of the intake mani like in between the runners?? I disconnected each vac hose above it one by one and blocked them to see it there were the leak. After sticking a mirror down in between the runners a found a small vac hose connected to a plastic valve or filter connected to another small vac hose all attched to the Mani. I I then disassembled one of my old stethescopes and stuck then down there to see if I can pin point the leak but couldn't find it. Can those hoses be accessed from another way or does the whole mani need to be removed?? Is there someplace else on the Mani that I can block to stop air flow to them, to make sure that is the leak? Is there another spot in there area that the leak could come from that I over looked?
Thanks for you help

Have you got any CEL codes recently ? In particular, Lean codes or anything ?

I wouldnt worry about the grn/wht check valve I bought a new one when I removed my vtcs and p&p'ed and it was fine. May need some new Injector seal grommets. I ground some length off of the fuel rail spacers to get a bit more compression on them. Also I just replaced my tb assembly due to a huge leak around the throttle shaft. Another thing worth menitioning is the fuel line connection to the fpr makes a constant hissing sound but this I've come to see is normal.

Happy hunting :)

I ended up finding several leaks in numerous couplers and fixed all but one...due to a lack of an extra clamp. The two things that are driving me nuts is the hissing sound from the the intake mani which might in fact be the same hissing you here in the fpr. I found out that was a gas line the hard way....I couldn't figure out why that vas line had such a strange clamp on it. LOL I also completely took apart my EGR and spent about an hour anally getting it cleam to see if that was the cause of my rough idle.

After getting it all back on. I forgot to plug my MAF back in the car started I noticed 1st gear sucked and it made boost real easy, but I got a CEL, then remembered I didn't plug in the MAF. This whole time the idled perfect. as soon as I plugged the MAF back in the car idled like shit again. I'm thinking it's the MAF...or a maybe the Split Second is reading the wrong sensor for the MAF???

Honda: I did though 2 cels right after we installed the Split second. Bad MAF and Lean bank one. I cleaned the MAF and reset it and only got the Lean bank one CEL. Reset it again and havn't thrown one since. That was 2 weeks ago

This is a little off topic...Would a CEL for a MAF or a faulty MAF in general cause any boost cut?

Yup.
