I have no performance mods, so there's not a whole lot of reason for me to hit the dyno, but I might just show up for moral support & to meet some of the Speed crowd.

Your gonna wish you had dyno'd the car stock so you know what the parts you put on (if you put on) did to the numbers.

Nah, that'd only matter if I was going to dyno the car after each new mod. lol I'm too cheap for that.

Heh my car is pretty much stock right now. Sitting in my parents garage with gauges disconnected, full intake removed, sitting on 4 jackstands, bpv removed, TMIC removed . . .
All because of the damn CPE turbo inlet that fits like shit.

How early is this going to be in the morning??
If it's early enough I might be able to come, since my parents aren't arriving until the early afternoon...

early. prolly 8-8:30. we still need to discuss how we want to meet. whether we will all just meet up at TTP or if we want to meet somewhere and drive to TTP as a group.

Appreciate it but I ended up returning my CPE inlet and im now waiting on a PG inlet (out of stock atm). Only issue is I have to make sure my car gets at least 100 miles before I take it to the dyno so the ECU can reset.

you dont need 100 miles, you are still running the same tune. to reset the ecu all you need to do unplug the battery and turn thelights on.
should take no more than 10 miles if that, for the ecu to learn there is a tad less restrictive air flow due to the inlet. other than that it should be instantaneous

Oh I didn't know that. All I know is that everytime I unplug the battery to install a new mod my car is slow as balls until the ECU learns it.

07-14-2009, 04:39 PM
yeah. once you get your Ap then you should put 40-70 miles on the new map so your fuel trims can settle.
but you dont have to do any of that when running the same tune

Im really pushing my dad to get me my BDAY present 20 days early :).

if its the AP do everything you can to get him to haha.
the car has come alive. im running stage 2 map and im pulling hard all the way to redline. i really have to watch closely to make sure i dont bounce off rev limiter.
now i just need to get my DP and especially FMIC. gotta get rid of this TMIC, tired of heat soak

Did they say anything about the price?? 75 bucks isn't "terrible" but CFT did mine for 70 bucks and I went solo. Having 5+ cars for them . . . they should give you a little discount imo. Your bringing them business.

Mentioned this on the other forum, but WTF, sign me up. Instead of watching, I can part with $55 to see what I'm actually laying down.

Just throw a bag of ice on top of the TMIC for the Dyno...dont even need a fan on the TMIC. Boost temps will stay low. Zero Heat soak.

ok peoples. BillTheCat has linked this thread into the Mini forum to see if any of those guys & gals want to attend. so sweet deal Bill
i spoke to TTP about getting more cars for a reduced price but they said this pricing caps it off. the more cars the more work its going to cause for them. so the Rates stand at $55 2WD and $75 4WD
also, they would like everyone who wants to run to paypal them a $20 deposit. Deadline being Friday the 24th. that way they can make sure we arent locking out a day showing up with a bunch of cars but only a couple people run which turns out to be a waste of time for them
their paypal is Sales@ttp-engineering.com Post that you have "paid" so i can update the OP

hold off on the deposits right now until i get a call back from TTP
i want to make sure that if things fall through deposits will be refunded. so wait until i get the answer to this question.
will get back to everyone soon

Dayumn. What happened? And yeah, I could still go for a Speed meet. Just tell me where & when. I don't get to Orlando a lot so I need to plan ahead a little. I also have a party to go to in JAX on Saturday night if I can get someone to let my dog out & feed her. lol

Hot damn, I actually know where that is. Met my sister for lunch there 2 different times when she was in Orlando for bartending competitions at City Walk & stayed at a hotel just up the street.
Time doesn't matter to me, personally. I imagine the Ale House is fairly crowded on a Saturday night, though.

Yep, it is. I'm thinking 730 is a meet time. Still enough sunlight left but looks sinister when night falls on the Speeds ha.
Getting ready to create a new tread after I'm done walking my dog
