Hi,
Noobie here - have done a few searches but nil results -
Have a 2006 Aust delivered 3; 5spd manual; entry model.
Has a weird fault at the moment - headlights are permanently on and the wipers are also permanently on. No indicators and no illumination on the centre stereo console but illumination on the speedo and instruments. Car still drives like normal and no CEL?
Help please!!!(shrug)

sounds like a short somewhere. have you done anything to the car recently that involved wiring?

had a blown fuse for brake lights and had replaced it then about a week later this problem.....taken to dealer service today and they have found fault - body control module has failed - so are ordering in a new one and fitting it tomorrow to the car. about $1000 aud but are doing it under warranty so nil charge.

Hi All,
Took the car to Mazda dealer in Mornington Victoria. They kept the car overnight to determine the true fault and it was as they expected the body control module. This had failed - total cost of the job was $1632.00 AUD excluding GST. Very glad that the car has had a full service history on it as they covered it under warranty - car has almost reached 100k km. on the clock.
Dealer service said it was an unusual occurence and they had not seen this fault before but it was unrelated to the blown brake fuse - something that just happens.
