i need to grab the speed signal for a navigation system in my 08 M5. does anyone know which cable at the tach is needed?

Ohhhh. Are you going to bypass the speed control that keeps the nav from operating while driving? Pleeeeeaaaaaase tell me that you are and that it works!

Could I use this cable (pin 1I) to detect the speedometer in order to install head-up display or V.S.D ?

Final, I uninstall the DVD player to check the pin. The Mazda 5 currently in HK market is not using the pin 1I.

after i took apart the center console i found out that the european model also does not use this pin. so i called the dealer and here it is:
remove the speedo top cover. on top of the unit you will find two plugs. its the one on the right you need. if you look from above it is the 5th wire from the left and its green/red. there you get the speedo signal.
