2007 CX-7 110,000 kms (68,000 miles)
car sounds like a diesel engine when cold started (incredible rattling), days later (hit a bump) and WAM incredible whining sound together with no power!!!
Just been informed that the Turbo is Toast.
any similar problems. Long time Nissan driver moved over to Mazda because we though the CX7 was such a great deal compared to the Murano. Now we are faced with $2,000 ++ repair bills after two years
Am I driving a bucket of crap?

Check with Ken at PG see if he has a turbo and then take the car to good tech and have them install instead of the stealership.

I'm sorry to hear about that. The car isn't a piece of crap, its just a car and things go bust. Regardless of who makes it an automobile has a lot of things that can go wrong.

Mine blew out at about 33,000 miles... Took it to the dealership because my A/C was also blown turns out so was my turbo...I had CAI, HKS BOV, and the Corksport Downpipe they didnt void my warranty and hooked me up with a fresh turbo =)))))

Knock is due to VVT issue there is a TSB for increasing diesel like sound on start up.
Turbo failure have you been idling the car when you reach destinations in order to allow the turbo to spin down and cool off before killing the engine and thus the oil pressure?
