Just wondering if anyone has tried this. Was looking at some different options, but this one looks descent if there are no leaks or anything. I know there was a good vender I read about on here that was on ebay for 140 bucks,I kow this isn't the same vendor but don't know if it's the same product or not. I know when I had my M3 I bought ebay headers and they were great. Input please.

As I said, a ton of the BMW M3 guys bought the M3 headers on ebay and they were less than a hundred bucks. no problems at all and got the same gains as they did out of the thousand dollar headers. I got mine there too, and had no issues at all.

On an automobile exhaust, stainless steel is stainless steel is stainless steel. The only, and I mean ONLY issue you could run into buying a test pipe on Ebay is fitment issues or a bad flange welds.

if the part fits and works who cares who makes it or where you buy it? granted there are some things as a rule of thumb ebay is not the best place for.

That piece is the same as the speedaction testpipe. That's the seller I bought mine from and it arrived pretty fast and the box also says speedaction on it. Fits fine and looks great. I would recommend it.

The price of his DP looks very nice too compared to all the others out there. However I doubt anyone has taken the plunge to test it out yet :).

ebay is a great place to buy parts! some people are just dumbasses and try to buy stuff that nothing good will come from! ive bought my rims, jdm headlights, jdm taillights, guages, exhaust, indash, short shifter & bushings, both hid kits(fogs and headlights), fog lights themselves, tcs dry carbon side mirrors and my front lip! the only thing that i have had issues with ebay stuff so far is the front grille, there is no way the autoexe replica grills from ebay will ever fit the protege!

race pipe and test pipe are the same things correct?

yes they are

so why wouldn't you just get the cs racepipe for 150, and not question whether the ebay one will work or not. Get a proven quality product. Just my opinion.

I'd be worried about the lack of hangers.

thats what I did. I wanted a test pipe for a while but was not interested in paying full price. I didnt want it that bad. Found one for 100 shipped and jumped on it. Works great.
As for the install, get some PB Blaster. It will help.

I got pb blaster, wd 40, some freezing stuff lol. Plenty of stuff to lube it up. Mine didn't come with any hardware, what did you need to install yours. I'm told you can reuse the OEM stuff, is that what you did?

I reused the donut gasket and my pipe came with 2 screws. I didnt use the springs on the exhaust side and used the stock hardware on the downpipe side, including springs. No leaks or problems after install. I did have a seized stock bolt so I did cut that out but wasnt using that one for the test pipe.
