Every time I open up my truck this is what I see.

Anyone else notice this on their car?

Yeah, the fitment is rather poor. It's loose enough to come off easily. I'm not sure what I'm going to do about it. Ideas?

so bitch at the dealer and get a replacement

bitching here and just wondering what to do isn't going to help future owners of this car (or yourself)... going to the dealer helps provide feedback to mazda that there's something wrong with the part and some sort of solution will be done about it... so in the end, consumers win

Yeah mine comes off a fair amount. Been about a week now since it came off, keeping my fingers crossed.

I suggest getting a stealth box and putting a 8" sub in its place and forgetting about the cover.

I bought my 2010 Mazda3 a couple weeks ago. Apparently, they already redesigned the jack cover.....

I have same cover. It is sedan.
Cover of eastbeach is from hatch back.

Cover of eastbeach is from hatch back. That's what I thought. I wouldn't mind having a hard plastic cover like the sedan. I don't really understand why the designed the hatch cover that way. However, the only real problem is that the latch slot is a little too big and isn't back far enough.

I have found a fix

Just wrap a rubber band around the inside part where the hook is.

It will keep it from rotating on its own and falling off.
