Anyone ever ad cruise to one of our cars? How much did it run, and what all did it entail? I spend enough time on the highway that cruise could be a valuable asset.

no problem at all.
having CC would definitely have helped ease the pain that i encountered when driving from austin to portland here a few weeks ago.

I love having control of the throttle. I'm the boss. Just made a trip from Ohio to North Carolina. Doesn't help u drive when falling asleep though :) Good Luck.
i've got an electronic cruise control that a shop put in, i think it was like $350 installed, its got a RF controller that i mounted in the change cubby to the left of the wheel... almost looks like some stock buttons down there. Pretty sure its made by rostra.

i don't think i have a pic of the control unit, but heres a pic of the underhood stuff, in the upper left corner. I can try to get the control unit pic when its light outside if you'd like...

EDIT: not the neatest install job, with that wire across the valve cover, i've rearranged it some since then...

Is it jerky any due to the turbo?
not really. Sometimes if you try to click up one or two miles per hour it hunts around, going too fast, slowing down too much, and keeps going on either side of where you want to be... but overall it works pretty well. The only thing you have to be careful of is making sure it doesn't start boosting in 5th if you're going up a hill....
