What car do you have?
Do you still have the stock battery?

u would wire it up just as u would a cap. grond the neg of the battery and run the power from ur main battery to the 2nd battery then from the battery u run ur wire to ur amp. just make sure u get a sealed battery cause putting a normal battery in ur car aint gonna be pretty when acid is all over stuff

its always a really good idea to run a battery isolator also if you install a 2nd battery. ive had two batteries die from running two batteries without an isolator. one was a cheapy autozone, but the other was an optima yellow top. a $50 battery isolator in the 1st place would have saved me $300..

I run a 500/1 Jl Audio amp. It was very heavy on my car until I upgraded to an optima yellow top. Ever since then I've been fine.

all u need to do is fuse it at each battery so if something does happen it just pops a fuse. just put a fuse after the first battery then a 2nd fuse before the 2nd battery. then u got ur fuses at the amp. that way ur protected all the way down the line lol. if some thing were to happen it would just pop a fuse and its an easy fix.

what is an isolator? im pretty technical and i havent heard of that, fill me in, and another member said to just put fuses after the 1st batt. and before the 2nd, is that performing the same function?
