Exhaust Headers...

Anyone have any recommendations on headers other than OBX? Or is that the best one for the P5? Thanks,

OBX isn't the best, but, it is the most readily availble

I had an OBX on the car and loved it, other than the drone when combined with the magnaflow catback

So, i swapped out to a Ractive long tube header and the drone went away

AWR i think is one of the best exhaust headres for our car. It's a true 4-2-1 instead of a 4-1

nah, it's just like he said, it is a certain note the exhaust makes that just.....well.....can drive a person to do madness and give headaches.

But, in all honesty, i think you'll be alright with an OBX header.

What exhaust do you plan on doing? If i can make a suggestion, save your pennies and go all out and do it right the first time with a Racing Beat

Thanks, for the suggestion...i am trying to find sound clips of various clips. And at the Great Falls Meet, there were a couple that sounded really good, but they drove off before i was able to ask what exhaust they were running. I want something that has a nice growl. Nothing REAL loud, but loud enuff if you know what i mean...

185 shipped and it was pretty fast too i just got a call from ups and they told me they have a package so im pretty sure thats it...so it was maybe a week and a half

I've got a Tsudo...it's an OBX knockoff but the fit and finish are fine and it sounds good...I hoping it won't create drone when I add a magnaflow exhaust soon.

I have OBX header, hi flo midpipe with Magnaflow cat, 2.25 ss piping from header back, resonator & magnaflow street series 5x8 oval muffler-2.25" inlet/4" double wall tip out. I don't even listen to tunes most of the time on the frwy because I love hearing the exhaust so much(not sarcasm) but I could if I wanted. Factory stereo plenty loud to cover it. It's the anti-drone, lol. In parking garages it has this low sonic wave that sets off most car alarms or at least makes them chirp & beep their little warning sounds. It's like all the other cars are cheering & clapping for mine when I roll thru. Chaotic comedy, lmao all the time.

is it a must to change the intake if i go obx header+ SLS midpipe+ Racing beat cat back? will it be ok to keep the stock instake?

You don't have to change the intake but if you are going to upgrade everything else, why not?

From what I understand, the *************** header is a OBX knock off as well. Still a good quality header tho! And cheaper than the OBX I believe....
