I have an 01 ES 2.0 auto. I was curious if these cars have some type of a tourqe managment system because off the line the car feels as if it really doesn't want to move yet once it gets a little higher in the RPM's it goes along OK.

I know it's no hot rod but it just seems it should have a litle more go down bottom.

I'm new to mazda but not to cars. I know Dodge uses a TCM system on their cars and trucks to limit wheel spin on take off. I also know on those vehicle it can be combated by pulling a certain wire off.

I was just curious if my car had something similar.

No torque limiting mechanisms exist. Unless you count A/C. Try turning that off. It makes a huge difference for me in low rpms.

Design engineers soon realized that no traction control was needed. :(

It just needs boost :P
