Hi guys, hopefully I can get some input on a wheel issue for me.

I just bought a 2010 Mazda 3 5 door. Thinking of getting some 18s on it and selling my stock ones.

The stock tires only have bout 2000km on them at the time of this post.

I was thinking one of two possible choices and if you guys can weigh in on it I'd appreciate it!

Option 1

I get new 18s with summer tires and get some cheap steel ones for the winter. I would sell the current stock ones and (hopefully) pay for the winter set of cheap rims/tires and still have a bit left over to put towards the new 18s.

Option 2

I get new 18s and keep the stock. It has all season tires on it and I'll just make do with them in the winter until they wear out, at which point i'll put winter tires on them.

put the stock tires on the new rims and the new winter tires on the stock rims untill the stock all seasons wear out and you buy something better for the new 18's.

i'd keep the stockies and make them the winters when the all seasons run out, less hassle and its lighter so if your a mpg freak you wont be sacraficing mpg

Are you in Burnaby as in Burnaby, BC?? If so, keep the all seasons for winter. Our winters are mild enough for all seasons.

I would buy the new 18's and rubber and keep the stock setup for winter.. Then buy snowies for the stock rims once the stock rubber dies.. Pretty much what everybody else said!! Holy massive Canadians responding...All from BC too

I probably won't get new rims for a while (made some major purchases lately, not to mention a big Europe trip coming up). But, it never hurts to think about some wheel options for my Mazda!

I just wanted to see what everyone's thoughts were on a black car. I know, I know, everyone has their own taste but I was thinking 3 options Black Flat or Gloss Finish (possibly with red rims) or Bronze or I saw this set of Black (not sure about the finish) with Red Semi triangles. Hard to describe and if I can find a picture of it I will upload on a follow up post. But basically they look like 5 spoke wheels (pretty standard looking with the 5 spokes having 2 spokes each at the ends near the rubber) with 5 "^" looking shapes...

Any suggestions (especially with pics) would be greatly appreciated.

Also, I'm not totally set on black rims so let me know if you guys come across any good wheel color's on a black car!

He has plenty of pictures. I went with The Rota Torques Gunmetal on my black MS3. I sure like that color, but you need to get what you like.
