Hey guys,

Any help would be appreciated. I bought a Pioneer AVG-VDP1 Vehicle Dynamics Processor for my AVHP5000DVD and I need to hook up one wire to the speed detection circuit (it’s to detect the distance the vehicle travels) and another wire to the reverse wire (the wire that changes voltage when the gear is shifted into reverse).

I’m very knowledgeable when it comes to electronics and wiring just need to know what colour wire I should be looking for off the ECU or under the dash.

Thanks

I dont know electronics that well, but look on the service Manuel, maybe it has something.

you can find the speed wire in the turbo timer install How-To... I forget which one it is, but I tapped it at the ECU.

you may want to leave the speed detection wire off, so then you can use it while moving. at worst, you could tap into the reverse light circuit.. but I'm sure theres a better place to do it. Anyone who had done a manual swap will be your best resource for that...

Speed sense is either purple/red or green/red and is at pin 58 on the PCM

The reverse light should be a red/yellow wire found in the driver kick panel, my resourse says "harness to rear" not exactly sure what that means but I would assume a group of wires heading towards the back.

Hope that helps.
