new to tires, help appericated

hey im looking to a new set of summer tires for my 08 speed3.

Ive heard that the Toyo Proxies T1R's are a good tire to go with in both the dry and the wet. Im just curious if any one has any experience with them and also if i can get away with a 225/45-18 over the 215/45-18 on the stock rims on our cars. Also if you guys have any sort of suggestions on another tire or particular size i would appreciate it. Thanks

I'm using a 225/45/18 with absolutely no rubbing issues with my stock suspension so, the statement "don't use a 225/45 it will rub" in that thread is not true across the board. I'm using a Dunlop Direzza sport Z1 star spec...

If money is an issue, consider Goodyear Eagle GTs, they're getting some pretty good reviews for their price category.
