hey guys,
So my sister is having troubles wiht her HID system on the protege.
2001.
the Blue HID bulbs dont work, on both sides. When switched to high beams both regular bulbs do turn on.

So now do you think both bulbs went out? or does it have to do with the Ballasts or relay??
I checked all fuses, they are good, and the fuses on the relay are good, so i hardly doubt its the relay.

any ideas would be great. thanks the bulbs are H4 for the protege right??
thanks

The bulbs for the protege are H4. And what do you mean the normal bulbs come on when high beams come on? What HIDs do you have? Are the H4 Hi/Low? if so then are they the ones ment to have HID Low beam bulb then a halogen highbeam bulb attached to it?

Yeah they are the HID on Low beam, and than your regular halogen on High beam.
And now my sister called me and said they started working again after i disconnected everything, and put it back together. so thats really weird!.
Its on and off. Ballast, or bulb? or could it even be the relay??

i am not quite familiar with that bulb setup, if you want to take pics of the wiring setup I may be able to help. I know the BiXenon HIDs I have which is a single HI bulb that moves took some wiring to get the little motor to work right. Not sure about her setup. Post pics and I'll try and help
