How is it broken and why are you having trouble retrieving it?

I agree with coolmazda5, those tools should work well.(iagree)

You might be better served if you pop the entire aux-in plug assy. out of the dash, and perform surgery that way. I have not seen what the plug assy. looks like yet, however some of the female jacks are open and accessible from the backside to remove any foreign materials. I am not sure how the Mazda Aux-in jack is constructed?(uhm)
