Information about the Kit:

NOTE: This kit is ONLY for the 2.3L. It was also designed to fit a Manual Transmission, however we have had some install this on an Automatic with few minor modifications.

Was $3999.99 - Now 3399.00

The Tri-Point Engineering Mazda3 2.3L Turbo Kit has been in development for nearly two years. We have done extensive R&D and testing to provide you the highest quality kit available for your Mazda3. The turbo kit was designed from a clean sheet with the same care and attention to detail that goes into our race cars. As we developed the kit, we operated under 3 guiding criteria:

1. Only high-quality parts were to be used throughout - not just the turbo or the intercooler. Every part has been chosen with track duty in mind. All fittings, hoses and heat shielding are of the highest quality.
2. Installation should be well thought out and appear clean and tidy when finished. Hose lengths are cut precisely. Many parts are pre-assembled to make installation easier and more precise when finished.
3. The kit must have power, driveability and durability. Anyone can throw a huge turbo on an engine and get more power. Typically turbo kits employing this strategy are short-lived. Our Kit has over 20,000 street miles on it. We've tried different intercoolers, turbos, down pipes and hoses.

We've spent many hours on our Dynapak chassis dyno fine tuning the kit. We've spent months driving our "mule" car on the street, data logging our engine management system and improving drivability. We've spent days on "cold start" tuning alone. There isn't a kit out there with more research and development than the Tri-Point Engineering turbo kit. Our kit puts out great power, is durable, and most importantly has great driveability. It feels like a stock car, until you want to "go".

Kit Includes:

- Garrett GT28R72 Turbo
- Stainless Steel Downpipe
- Aluminum Intercooler Piping
- Bosch Fuel Injectors
- Cast Iron Manifold
- All fittings/hoses
- AEM FI/C w/Harness

This is a complete kit.

Don’t miss out on a chance to get a great kit at an awesome price!

what kind of modifications need to be done to use it on an Automatic? Also do you know if it will fit a mazda5 with the 2.3liter?

Yes, this kit does fit on the Mazda 5, with some minor modifications. Which is a little trimming of some pieces for clearance since the car is not exactly the same. The automatic will need minor adjustments as well.

haha...damn..got any pics of it on the 5? I'm in the OC can I come take a looks??? guessing the price is just for the kit, not installed...kit+installation+modifications.....got financing? I was really hoping for a supercharger kit to come around...but how's the reliability on this kit with low boost? Just want some extra zoom zoom... Waiting on my warranty to expire...then i guess its turbo time! Maybe it'll have to expire a little early...hehe

The 5 was a customer car, so it is no longer here. We dont have any pics of it installed on the 5. We do have an engine with the kit installed on display in the shop that you could come see. I also attached a pic of it installed on my car.

Yes, that price is just for the kit. Installation would be $1500, which also includes tuning the car.

As for reliability, I have had this kit on my car for 50,000 miles and I haven't had any real big problems. I drive my car daily, as you can tell from my mileage, I autox it, and it has run on the track a few times. You just need to remember you are adding 100+hp so things are going to get worked harder. If you clutch is less than 50%, you might want to consider upgrading it. As far as the boost levels, the engine seems to handle them just fine.

What sort of modifications would be required to set this up on a car with an Automatic transmission? Does anyone know?

Seeing this kit at this price makes me want to pick up a 3 for my dad!!! Mazda3 sedan with 260 HP sounds like great fun!!

how hard would it be for me to install it myself? and how much additional tuning does would the car require after install? from everything i read, i thought this kit was kinda plug and play.

I got a lot of extra cash laying around and my 5 is just begging for some bald tires... I might have to consider this option.

Nicole.... I found a smokin deal on a junkyard Mazdaspeed3 transmission. You guys played with swapping one of those into a regular 3 and if so, any serious issues?
