I was trying to adjust the idle with the Air/idle Adjustment Screw
of the throttle body and I can't get the idle to change much.
I adjusted the timing a little (it jumps all over) with the TEN-GND jumpered.
The idle increased, but it really seems like I can only adjust it with the timing.
Does anyone know how many turns out the AAS should be?
Does anyone know how to keep the timing from jumping around soo much?
Thanks.

Umm, your not supposed to mess with the screw. If the idle isnt right you might have to clean out the IAC. I adjust the timing as is, just losen the dizzy and listen to the engine and see where it runs best, go for a drive and see how it runs.

For the same car, does anyone know how many turns out the idle screw is supposed to be? There is a spec for that but I can't locate it. Perhaps someone could test theirs and post on here?

I know they are factory set, and arnt supposed to change, I have adjusted mine, and I got no difference. I know the old school way to settin the IAC's on the older Fords was to unplug the IAC, and then adjust the screw till the car just runs, turn the car off, plug the IAC in, and then see how she idles.
