Simple question...
I am curious to know how the wiring is coming into the front doors on a Protege5. I have the stock 5.75" there now along with the tweeter. I am looking to wire in a component set.
This is what I am hoping - that it is only 1 pair of wire coming into the door (+ve & -ve). and then perhaps an in-line capacitor from the 5.75" speaker that carries the highs to the tweeter? I am hoping I can just snip it, crimp on some male/female connectors; run extended wires to the crossover and then run wire to the new tweeter and mid and be done. Is this how it is?
Anyone car to enlighten me before I spend the time digging into it myself - which is a real pain in the arse when you live in an apartment.
