when braking i hear a cyclical grinding sound. I replaced my pad and rotors about a year ago, could it alreday be time for new ones?

also noticed a ton of break dust, do the inner pads wear faster than the outer?

that would depend on how hard you drive and brake the car !!!!!!!!!
If you are hearing a grinding when you step on the brakes ,check your rotors are they smooth , then yes check out the pads , might just be bad pads that wore out , get some quality pads next time .you may have better luck !!!!!!!!!

My car sits monday thru friday at work. I did new brakes about 2 years ago and already had to put new rear pads and rotors. My rotors rusted real bad from sitting and were humming everytime I put on the brakes. It doesn't pay to have your car sit and have low miles I guess.

lol , yes you need to take that baby out for a run now and then !!!!
Mine is garage kept also, and covered . I know she is spolied
But take her out every week for a run . Fla msp , I would also check your rotors for being warped , it does happen ,pull of the tires and check this. this will quickly wear down new pads . you may need to resurface your rotors also
