I have been wanting to install an hid conversion kit in my msp, i have been researching bulbs for a while now, but am getting mixed results, is it an H4 bulb? or a 9003? and is there a fitment difference between the H4-2 and H4-1?
Thanks

talk to protephile on the forums he has a real nice set with a lifetime warranty on the ballast. I have the same kit. 'techone' 7000k kit.
and to answer your question i am pretty sure we use the h4 bulbs.
anyway just get the techone kit, it is plug and play. I suck at wiring and i installed it in about 30 min.
^^^ What he said. Just PM Protephile and he'll get you hooked up with the products and information you need. :)

H4 and 9003 sb or whatever are the same. And get a Turbolife fmic, they are the best.

does it need much cutting? and i have heard running a fmic compared to the smic you will get more lag, if your running one in yours, do you notice? how much does one set you back?

i got mine off the forums. it's a do it yourself kit (DIY). pieced together aluminum piping. I welded on a greddy flange on the hot pipe. install was simple but only because i bought a pre cut bumper beam with the fmic. normally the bumper beam sits where you can see it in the grille.
check out the altered customs fmic kits sold by metallic. those are very good quality and are not expensive at all compared to what is out there. do a search

i just was looking at that ic, what do you have to cut/add to make it fit in the lower grille area?

it will fit without cutting but only half the IC will be visable. in order to get the full visable IC you only have to cut the steel bumper beam. I didnt cut mine someone else did but if it were me i would mark it off on the beam where i needed to cut, buy one of those special blades that cuts medal and go to town on it haha.
(make sure you take it off the car first lol) it is held in by 4 bolts on each side of the car. oh and you have to take the bumper off first.
