I have an MS3 with rx8 wheels too getting ready to paint them soon.. just wanna see how many other people are running rx8 wheels too and what colors yall got them in... :) i'll post up pix as soon as i get a decent one, they're actually all sanded down right now and about to be painted.. :)

I can't believe how nice a job you did matching the wheels to the car. The paint really works. Funny thing is I would have never thought it would have. Props for taking the plunge the car looks great.

It wasn't my intention to have them sorta match the Cosmic Blue. During the day, it really just looks like graphite/gun metal, but once it starts getting dark, it starts looking a little different. It's all lighting :)

Hard to tell from the pics, but did you paint or powdercoat your RX-8s white? I'm not a fan of white wheels in general, but yours look great on CWP.

They rubbed on large bumps or with people in the back. I rolled my fenders in the rear and no more issues.

At stock height, 225/45/18 looks best. Lowered, 225/40/18 is most popular with minimal rubbing.

months late on the laughs...but it still deserves more. (rofl)

and to post on the OP's kill list...your car stock might be able to beat about 3 of those cars for real. an STI would stomp this car stock. its almost 100 hp difference and off launch the AWD would spank your 0-60ft time by a full second. my expalination on the STI proves the point for about 4 other cars in there as well. to much in this thread for me. there might eb a reason i didnt post on this in may. lol.

Here's mine, I have since painted the fuel door. Painted gunmetal and put on 2008.5 MGM. 235/40/18 dunlop star spec direzzas

not a fan of the painted fuel door on any car....it reminds of a pep boys modification. it could be just the way i view it but i feel the painted fuel door originally was supposed to be the poor mans way of looking like you have one of thsoe external gas caps....something like the new srt8. or a locking fuel door or external gas cap from like an aftermarket fuel cell or soemthing. idk.

dont get me wrong..the kill list is kinda retarded...but I dont understand the comment on sti 100 hp over 'this car"? refering to ms3 right? 300 vs 263 or 240 whp sti vs 220-240 whp ms3.....I agree kill list is gay..but am I reading that right mazdaspeed 32007..neah fuck it..doesnt matter..sti is badass car..but 100 hp more than ms3..I must be overlooking something cause that doesnt make sence have nice day :) and ummmm yeah all the rx8 wheels are rockin

Anyone with the 09 rx8 wheels on?? I think if you powder coated them the same color as the r3 wheels they would look very nice and you wouldnt have to spend a million bucks on em too! plus they would be 18's and not 19's..just a thought.

Just picked up a set, finally! Too bad I just put my winter wheels on, so the RX8's will have to wait till spring. The plan is to paint/powdercoat them in gloss black for my white MS3. I'll bump this thread once they are powdercoated/painted and then again once they are mounted on the car in the spring.

The set I picked up were chromed, so I gotta get that coating off first though. . .

I wish I could take credit. I didn't do anything, it's actually how I bought it. But springs are on the way. And I may add the trim pieces back to the rear bumper. Those were deleted.

Yeah. Sold them back in May to a member in ATL. He drove down on a Saturday; we mounted them on his Cosmic Blue MS3 and he drove off with them :)

Finally got my RX8's done and with new tires for the MS3.

Tires: Hankook V12 235/40/18's
Wheels: OEM RX8 wheels where chromed when I got them, had the chrome bead blasted off , then my buddy (who's family had a body shop in the past) did the bondo/sand/prep/paint on them. 350Z Gloss Black + 3 THICK coats of clear with Flex Additive. Wheels were just painted this past weekend, there's some minor inperfections in the paint, he said in a week or so, we'd have to wetsand and buff them out.
