Hi I owe a Mazda Speed 3 2007 and I love the speed and torque for a small 4 cly. engine.
Question: Can you direct me to information on chip tuning and possible Canadian vendors or Western New York Vendors.

This would be great.

Thanks

This is Mrs Comet (hardcore VW gal myself)...not sure what you mean by pnp tuner, but what he's talking about is referred to in the VW community as "a chip" because in the older ECUs, a physical chip needed to be soldered into the circuit board. In newer ones, you simply upload software that has an improved map. So something like that; much akin to what happens when I load a new file into my standalone's ECU. Not anything so wild that engine internals needs reworking; just a bit more than stock is what he'd be looking for. Or maybe the stock map is already optimum, but I'm guessing it's more conservative than it needs to be (as is the case with most manufacturers' maps.) Thanks for your patience wading through this wordy post.

MS3s and mazdas in general dont have chip solutions.

the only solution is a pnp tuner (plug and play) like the Cobb AP.
